Capri armchair
Here the seat and back come together like two leaves joining their stem, becoming one solid curved niche.

The interior is padded, soft and welcoming, while the exterior is harder, solid and protective: both can be entirely covered in fabric or finished in contrasting materials; leather outside and fabric inside, emphasising the difference and creating diversity.
The structure is made of steel, and the legs are tapered to a point to emphasise the gentle support on the ground.
